BEHIND THE LENS
Eddie is a freelance photographer and videographer with 35 years of professional experience serving the entertainment industry and private clientele. Mostly self-taught, he strives to exceed expectations and produce the best quality photography and video for any project.
Eddie was born in Fort Belvoir, VA and is the youngest of four children. His father was a Lt. Colonel in the US Army which enabled the family to live and travel to locations in Europe, the Middle East, and the eastern United States. Following his father’s retirement, the family settled in his mother’s hometown of Fresno, CA.
Eddie moved to Los Angeles in 1986. Like others before him, his move was part “Hollywood Dream” and the start of an exciting career in photography that would span 35 years. Although he knew few people in Los Angeles and had no major “connections”, he lucked into gigs shooting Hollywood events almost immediately. Eventually, his talent and work ethic were recognized and he obtained more work shooting production stills on movie sets and TV shows.
Throughout his career, Eddie worked hard to develop his skills by studying the techniques of such legendary photographers as George Hurrell, Lazlo Willinger, Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz, and Helmut Newton. Eventually, Eddie developed his own mastery of studio and natural lighting that he uses in all his photography and video projects.
